Create an AWS account

Your account must have the ability to create new IAM user and policies with proper IAM permissions.

  1. If you don’t already have an AWS account with Administrator access: create one now by right clicking here to open a new tab

  2. Once you have an AWS account, ensure you are following the remaining workshop steps as an IAM user with IVS access to the AWS account.

  3. Right click the following link to open a new tab to create a new policy. Create a new policy for the workshop

  4. Click Create policy. Select JSON tab, copy and paste the following policy into the text edit area. Click Review policy.

  1. Enter ivs-accesspolicy as Name, and click Create policy.

  2. Now select Users from left IAM menu, select Add user. Enter User name as workshop, check Programmatic access and AWS Management Console Access. Enter a Custom password, and uncheck Require password reset. Create User

  3. Click Next:Permissions. Select Attach existing policies directly tab, and type ivs in the Filter policies search box. Select ivs-accesspolicy created in last step. Attach Policy

  4. Click Next:Tags, then click Next: Review, and click Create user.

  5. Take note and save the login URL, User name, Access Key ID and Secret access key and click Close Attach Policy
